Suika – Ishtar (Lawson collab ver.) from Fate/Grand Order

Suika was visiting from out of town so I’m soooo glad I got to catch her for a photo. She was only there for one day of Smash so I wouldn’t get another chance (in a reasonable timeframe – you might remember her from the J-fashion shoot that we did).

I don’t play F/GO myself but it’s hard not to appreciate it. There was a huge F/GO cosplay gathering at Smash this year and it was most impressive. This version of Ishtar is something of a non-canon design thanks to a collaboration with Lawson convenience stores in Japan, so… I guess it’s kinda canon now? This is Fate though, basically anything goes.

Sanzuri – Hong Meiling from Touhou

I love shooting with Sanzuri, her costumes are always super rich and she looks fantastic. I’m so glad that Touhou love is still alive, it’s a classic. Wish I could’ve eaten those bao, I swear they looked real…

Naiferu – Asuka from Evangelion

Honestly a 3-minute shoot at the end of the day, just before security wanted to kick us all out. Eva is one of my OG favourites so I’m glad I could grab Naiferu in time.

Mish – Flandre Scarlet from Touhou

Now, this was the last shot of the day, taken right as security was standing there waiting for us to GTFO 😂

No flash because it was already packed away, just the modelling lamp of my AD300. One chance, one shot, we made it. Thanks Mish!

Imagine my surprise when Riya told me she’s making a magical girl costume, but I probably wouldn’t be able to guess what it was. My best guess was Princess Tutu because Kraehe wears a dress designed kiiinda like this… BUT NO IT’S CARDCAPTOR SAKURA, THE OG, just not cosplaying as Sakura XD
